When God Writes Your Story:
This is the journey of a little Mennonite girl who didn’t know who she was and where she belonged—until she found her place and her true identity in God’s story.
“Who am I, really?”
This question has followed me my entire life.
I was born a blond, blue-eyed, German-speaking Mennonite girl in a small village in the remote and undeveloped region of the Paraguayan Chaco. My grandparents had fled Ukraine and Russia in 1930 during the Communist Revolution. They left everything behind to save their lives. Few countries were open to receiving these Ukrainian-German immigrants. Paraguay, a small and largely unknown nation, accepted them—on the condition that they would settle in the so-called “Green Hell,” an uninhabited and hostile region. Only later did it become clear that this was a strategic move by the Paraguayan government to protect the land from Bolivian claims.
Growing up with this background, I struggled to understand my identity.I wasn't German, though I spoke German.I wasn’t Ukrainian—I feared Russia for what it had done to my grandparents.I didn’t feel Paraguayan either—I didn’t look like one, and my Spanish carried a heavy German accent.
This inner conflict led to an identity crisis. My heart longed to know:Who am I? Why am I here? What is my true purpose?
Everything changed in 2016 when I attended the Haggai Leadership Experience. A statement from one of the facilitators pierced my heart:“Remember who you are.” You are a daughter of the King. That is your true identity. You are His ambassador—sent with the most powerful and life-changing message this world needs to hear.
Nearly a decade later, I now know who I am.
I am a daughter of the King.A masterpiece in progress. God’s chosen treasure, a royal priest called to proclaim His light. I am also a wife to a pastor and missionary, a mother and grandmother, a teacher, trainer, life coach, and image consultant. I design my own training materials and passionately guide women to discover their unique beauty—inside and out. I help people identify their God-given calling and equip them to become excellent messengers of His truth.

Have you ever tried to complete a puzzle without knowing what the final picture looks like? Sometimes life feels like that, doesn’t it?

The good news is: There is a Master Plan. Designed by the Master Designer—your Creator. He sees you. He sees the big picture of your life.

Even if you can’t see the full picture yet, trust this:God sees. God knows. God calls you by name.
There’s a powerful story in the Bible about a woman named Hagar, an Egyptian slave in a painful and humiliating situation (Genesis 16). To her masters, she was just “the slave.” Nameless. Voiceless. Invisible.
But God saw her. And He called her by name: “Hagar.”
When no one else saw her value, God did.
In response, Hagar gave God a name that appears only once in the Bible:
El Roi – The God Who Sees. (Genesis 16:13)
God sees you too. He knows your name. Your name is not just written—it is engraved in the palm of His hand (Isaiah 49:16). That means permanence. Identity. Belonging.
El Roi—The God Who Sees—sees YOU.
He knows exactly how your “loose pieces” fit into His perfect plan.He holds the blueprint.
